Dr. Jim Erpenbach
Dr. Jim Erpenbach was raised in Knoxville. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee Knoxville and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Tennessee Memphis in 1982. He has been practicing here for over 28 years.
He strongy believes advanced continuing education is vitally important to provide the most current scientific based care for his patients. He averages over 150 hours a year in continuing education focused on teeth conserving biomimetic (life like) dentistry and the link between the mouth health and effects on general health (oral systemic links).
He enjoys geeting to know his patients and they appreciate his gentle touch. Young children especially enjoy the many magic tricks always in his pocket along with balloon animals he makes.
He is a founding member of American Academy of Oral Systemic Health, founding member of the Academy of Mimimal Invasive Biometric Dentistry and member of the Crown Council, the American Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association, and the Second District Dental Society.
He has worked with Remote Area Medical as well as several international trips to Haiti and Belize.
He is married to his wife Gwen and has three children, Katie, Christopher, and Michael.
